CONSTRUCTION TIME TRACKING
Time tracking on construction sites — without paper or Excel
In construction, total hours are not enough: you need to know on which site, on what work and for how long. In ConSiteLog workers record their own time on the phone, managers see hours by site and payroll picks them up automatically.
No payment card needed to start.
What does the worker record?
- Site, date and type of work
- Start, end and breaks
- Description of work, materials and equipment
- Photos and obstacles
- Location at start and end of the workday, if the worker allows it
What does the manager see?
- Who is working right now and on which site
- Hours by worker, site and period
- Planned vs actual hours per site
- Absences and schedule changes
- Export to CSV or Excel
Payroll from the same data
Hourly rates are saved per worker and task. Payroll adds up hours and piecework for the period — nobody re-enters the data into a spreadsheet. Data can also be moved to Merit Aktiva.
Works on any phone, in four languages
ConSiteLog runs in the phone browser and can be added to an iPhone or Android home screen. Workers choose Estonian, English, Russian or German — helpful for multilingual crews.
Paper, Excel or ConSiteLog?
| Topic | Paper or Excel | ConSiteLog |
|---|---|---|
| Who enters | The manager collects hours from messages and paper. | Workers enter it themselves on site. |
| By site | Split by hand, error-prone. | Every entry is tied to a site and type of work. |
| Pay | Calculated in a spreadsheet. | The summary is created automatically. |
| Evidence | Hard to check when and where work happened. | Times, photos and location in the same entry. |
Questions and answers
How does construction time tracking work in ConSiteLog?
The worker picks the site and type of work on the phone, records start, end and breaks and describes the work. The manager sees entries immediately and payroll adds up hours for the period.
Is the worker's location tracked all the time?
No. Location is saved only at the start and end of the workday, and only if the worker allows it on the phone. If they decline, the entry can still be saved.
Can piecework be tracked too?
Yes. A task can have an hourly rate, a piecework rate or both. Payroll shows both together.
Can the data be exported?
Yes. Managers can download hours and entries as CSV or Excel, and payroll and accounting data can be moved to Merit Aktiva.
What does it cost?
60 days free without a payment card, then €7.99 per user per month + VAT.
